Allow myself to introduce…myself
World traveler. Problem solver. Designer.
Hey there, my name is Lalita. I was born in Hawaii and raised in California. A lover of all things beautiful, I studied Fine Arts, Art History and Italian Language in college and received my BA from Sonoma State University. I lived and studied in Florence, Italy for over a year where I learned the science and structure behind art and design. After college I began a successful career in Hospitality and Management during which I completed a two year Certification in Wine Studies with a concentration in Business and Marketing.
I relocated to New York City where I worked for Patina Restaurant Group, a premier hospitality conglomerate. I successfully executed countless celebrity events, corporate acquisition pitches and managed two restaurants in the MetLife Building in midtown Manhattan.
While I love hospitality, I began feeling a need to express my creativity, and sought a way to combine my experience and background into a more artistic outlet. After considerable research and even more commitment, I enrolled in Ironhack’s full-time intensive UX/UI Design Bootcamp. My empathetic nature, coupled with many years in the Hospitality Industry and Fine Arts knowledge, has prepared me for the successful implementation of User Centered Research and Design.
I’m not afraid of hard work, in fact I thrive under intense pressure and stress. I’m looking forward to utilizing my skill set to begin a long and rewarding career as a UX/UI Designer.
Let’s work together.
